The violence will never stop

I've been unable to do anything because of my broken toe. Because of this I finally have enough free time to write.

"No matter what, the violence will never stop" -Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook (second in command of Hamas)

The recent Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been bothering me for quite some time now,
Palestinians always seem to take a step away from peace. Not long ago, a group of Palestinian militants dug a tunnel under the border and entered Israel. They killed two Israeli soldiers and captured another. Israel responded with an invasion into Gaza. Infrastructure was targeted the most, the only power plant in Gaza was destroyed, along with buildings allegedly used to "plan terrorist attacks". Hamas militants in turn executed an 18-year-old Israeli civilian, Eliyahu Asheri.

Israel has been taking a lot of heat from world leaders for their actions against Palestinians, but what is Israel supposed to do? Sure, during a war there are civilian casualties, but Palestinians make it their policy to kidnap civilians, to kill civilians. After all, Hamas (the ruling Palestinian "political" party) are the ones committing all the violence. Civilian casualties caused by Israel have been accidental.

It is my sincerest hope that the Israeli soldier is released unharmed, for the sake of both sides. If God forbid he's killed, Israel will not hesitate to re-occupy Palestinian territories and maybe even go as far as striking Syria (Syria supports and funds violence committed by Hamas).
I don't care how many parliament seats Hamas has in the government, every single Hamas member must be eliminated to end violence in the region.
